A Louis XVI gilt bronze-mounted white and bleu turquin
marble vase clock pendule à cercles tournants – circa 1775

Height: 52 cm. (20 ½ in.)    Width: 20 cm. (7 ⅞ in.)    Depth: 17.5 cm. (6 ⅞ in.)

The clock operates as two horizontal circles indicating the hours and minutes with enamelled Roman and Arabic numerals. The winding holes are hidden behind gilt bronze mounts below the lion’s mask on the right-had side of the vase.
